ARC22 High Wind sails vs FMS 20 main

I bought a set of Kevlar high wind sails [Posey/Haberman design] for the ARC22 and never used them. I just laid the original FMS main over the High wind main and there is about 4" difference in Luff length between the two mainsails. Of course the square top High Wnd main is alittle larger. Does...

What will happen if all paint is removed from the ARC22 carbon hulls and clear epoxy is sprayed on?? Will it deteriorate?

Thanks Matt-

So on a 22 it bolts to the beam and locks in the up position or do you tie the motor to the beam?

Outboard Motor Mount

I am designing a motor mount for my ARC22 but can't decide whether a telescoping system would be work as well as a fixed length?? I'm talking about 6"-10". Anyone tried a telescoping mount?? The reason I'm going to an outboard is that the drought around here exposed the roughest beaches [r...

Matt-

I have not touched the diamond wires but I know one wire has less tension than the others. I will get the manual and go from there.

Claas-

Thanks for the response. I am curious as to how long those carbon beams will last??? The beam wall thickness appears thin to me. With that main sail being so full at the top I bet its an experience to remember in a blow as well as punishing on the main beam.

My Chiro is from Switzerland. He has crewed on a couple of the cats over the years. I was wondering how the RC boats match up with the latest 28s??? I told him there were RC27s in that area but he didn't know of them. He doesn't race all that much so one could have been beside him and he may not hav...
