Great story Bill. 30 knots sustained! Gotta love it. What was the total distance covered and total elapsed time? I assume that you took line honors as first to finish. How much rum came back with you?

Fraidy Cat, You need a set of the fiberglass cradles that most everyone uses nowadays. I imagine that Tom or Matt at Aquarius could get you a set that are made specifically for your boat. I higly recommend a set. They aren't that expensive and well worth avoiding the wear and tear on your boat. The ...

Kevin did not drive the boat

Well Glen, it is easy to see that Kevin did not drive the boat. If he had, it would have been more likely sunk and sitting on the bottom than just washed up on shore. This definitely looks like an "owner" neglect thing to me.

Claas, The cables connect the docking unit for the display and a transducer at the other end. It is a sealed unit and the wires are calibrated for the specific length. I most likely will splice the wires back together and try to recalibrate the unit. After all, the speed read out is just relative to...

Yes Thom, That is the unit. They still list them, but don't tell you that they quit making them. And as far as spare parts........forget it.

No More Speedmate Knotmeters

Just to let you know. You cannot buy the Speedmate II knotmeters or parts anymore. All that's left is what some of the dealers may have in stock. I hate to see that, especially since we trashed our cables when we broke our mast. I really liked those units. Apparently they weren't selling as well as ...

Glen,

No, I wouldn't use the word "pretty" to describe Steve. No offense Steve. And, Steve thank you for standing your ground and not letting Glen make you wear a thong. We all thank you!

Thom,
