super cat 17 crew weight?

whats the minimum crew weight for the SC17? i am going to be sailing solo with just the main sail down at Spring Fever!!!! so tring to figure out the portsmouth number.... and i need to figure out the underweight penalty.....

i'd really like to see pictures of other SC19's ... but i'm also looking to upgrade to a selftacking jib and spinnaker... so if anyone has detailed pics of their set up that would be great too....

well i'm a big supporter of the SC 19... although i havn't had much time on my boat (issues arise lol) i have raced against F18 in distance races and if i had a spinnaker i believe i would keep up... i did well against F18s up wind and actually outpointed them... just lost them on the down wind leg....

glad to here your breathing new life into the old girl.... i too just finished resurectiong an 84 sc 17... i went thru and filled the few holes that i found and completely sanded down teh hulls with 250 grit sand paper to get it ready for gel...... then i sprayed teh get with booster instead or thin...

when i bought the boat the hulls were in great shape besides a few small holes so i filled those and faired them out.... then i boat 2 gallons of gelcoat.... and sprayed about 4 coats on each hull... mind you i sanded the whole hulls down with 320 grit before spraying.... after spraying and drying i...

hey i just bought a new cross bar from Aquarius and it only cost me around 100.00... not bad if you ask me..... I sail with between 1/8 to 1/4 inch of toe in... also if you have slop in your rudders that also puts strain on the helm so add shims, make sure those lines are good and not falling apart....
