Is there a picture somewhere I'm not seeing?

The head stay on my SC15 is 7x19 SS wire rope not 1x19. Is this an issue?
When I tension the down haul on my jib I can slack the head stay. Is this an issue?

That square top is a new sail, not a re cut, correct?

Copy that, Bill. This has off season written all over it. Does that top batten need to be more robust than the stock '84 vintage round fiberglass ones I'm currently using. I know the top battens will have to be longer.

So Bill, would it be practical to take the Dacron pintop on my '84 SC15 and have it re cut to a square top? Would the luff remain the same dimension while the foot was shortened? Or, would more material be added at the top while maintaining the original length of the foot?

If I read Bill correctly, the only cure is (more cowbell) an increased chord length at the top of the sail. The airflow needs more surface area to direct it aft and off to leeward instead of over the leech and down the leeward side of the sail.

I'm thinking rubber rollers mounted over and under on some Uni Strut. Two sets forward, two sets aft. One set on center line, one set outboard.
