Thanks for the offer. I just tied her down two hours away at Lewisetta, VA. I'll measure my spare pins but I think the slop is in the old castings on the boat. I'll try to remember the calipers next trip. This could be a good excuse for local pickup.

Stampede 1

Side bar to this thread:

The best 'adhesive' I have found (other than 'permanent' 3M 5200) is Stampede 1 Polyurethane Sealant from Sherwin Williams.
http://www.paintdocs.com/docs/webPDF.js ... no=1637552

We used it exclusively at Moody Gardens Aquarium (Galveston TX) for repairs and new installations. It would bond firmly to surfaces a wide range of materials (acrylic, fiberglass, metal, and cement) even when we could not throughly clean off the salt water!

And, Stampede 1 not only remains flexible, it can be painted too.

Looks like great stuff. I read the PDF. I couldn't find a vendor. Is this a serious industrial product?

Stampede 1 is available at most Sherwin Williams Paint stores,
It does not, however, have a long shelf life (1 year). So some stores do not always keep it in stock.
But they can order it.
