Server Migration

Post by Matt Haberman »

I just want to give everyone a heads up that were in the process of migrating to a new server.
I am always optimistic these types of things will go off without a hitch and will go unnoticed by the majority, however I am also realistic and know that something will go haywire. Regardless I am hoping that the worst case is the forum is down for no more then 24 hours and no data is lost.
I don't exactly know when this will take place, but I expect it will happen in the next few weeks. So don't panic if the forum is offline for a while.

That was very painful....
Numerous restores of both the database and the files, but it appears to all be backup and running with nothing lost as far as I can tell.

I have a few cosmetic things to take care of over the next few days, but that should not cause any major issues.

Please let me know if you notice anything that is not functioning correctly.
