Painted mine with Interlux Brightside and a foam roller, gave a very nice shiny finish except for the odd bug or two, looks a lot better than my Mystere that I did with epoxy paint, eaier too.

Might want to get this book too:

Catamaran Racing: For the 90's

http://www.amazon.com/Catamaran-Racing- ... 45?ie=UTF8

Not all applies but it has a lot of useful info in it.

The 1.25" (0.0625 wall thickness) tube I got for my SC19 did not fit in the batten pocket, close but no cigar,I will have to go get a 1" tube, apparently I now need to get 0.125 wall tubing, correct?

43 knots on a Tornado

It was pretty windy today but I think 50mph is a little optimistic. Think I'll give Gartrip a try and see if it gives me more reasonable numbers. GPS inaccuracies aside We did have a lot of success with a program called SeaClear running on a laptop hooked to the GPS to help us navigate round some ro...

SC 19

Sunday June 13 was my first sail in my SC 19, I bought the boat in August last year and have had to look at it out of my window for 10 months, so finally in the water she goes. I have to say that's a pretty nice boat to sail, not nearly as erratic as my Mystere 5.0. She handles quite well, neither B...

Spring is here. Rusty ugly bolts have gone (most of them anyway) and nice new cradles are in place. I have been having nightmares about the kilometer of washboard I need to drag the boat down before I get to the highway, I feel better now. I will be sailing out of here: http://www.cvgr.qc.ca - not a...

Hi Dan,

Not what you are looking for but I have a spare rear beam for a SC19 with the traveler cable.

Don't quite know what to do with it.

Looks like a transom mounted base for the RC-30 cocktail table.
Boss on the port side is for liquor, the starboard side is for mix.

Was thinking of retro-fitting one to the SC19 as it only has a tramp mounted beer bag.

Can someone detail the self tacking jib mechanism for me?
Pictures and digrams would be great.
Can I adapt the SC19 for one?
