Re: Downhaul Rigging
Finally remembered to take a picture today. I have some line I leave in the down haul grommets on the sail with a ring on either side. This allows an even load on each grommet. I attach the down haul blocks to the rings with shackles. Doing this saves setup time and with the blocks it’s easier to pu...

Re: SuperCat 19 Resurrection
Nothing to it really. The important thing is the compressor which I got from a used window AC unit, $20. I used the glass jar to allow separation of any epoxy coming in the hose. I really didn’t need it because not much came into the hose. I also added a vacuum gauge and an on and off switch. I trie...

Maybe you saw a post of my old SC20 I did some hull work on. You can see how I did my repairs and it might give you some ideas. The picture order ended being reversed in each posting.

Re: SuperCat 19 Resurrection
I don’t know what the going prices are but I’d be pissed off at who sold it to me. That’s some shoddy ass work which cost you more than it’s worth in my eyes. What you plan to do will work I imagine, but to do it the correct way you can use the other hull as a form (in the same location) to make a f...

Thanks Matt. Would have though you’d use one of the rope holes.
I was doing some repairs and painting myself.

That’s a good idea. Did you design it yourself?

Thank you! I’ll check out your blog on my next trip. Looks like a nice boat you were on. I look forward to reading and watching it.
I’ve got plenty of time to prepare. I might call you regarding the varnish.

New Schooner
Look at the wooden schooner I recently bought. It’s still in northern France but I’ll probably sail it to Florida in 2023. It’s 21 years old. 15 meters long.

What kind of sail is on your 15? I’ve got the Kevlar ones.
Matt,
Do you roll the jib in the same manner? Fold at an upper batten and roll top down?
