i am looking to make the boat look a little better. the mast had some corrosion when i got it. i used rubbing compound to get it smooth again but there are spots where the corrosion was. i was thinking of painting it but i was told alumn was tough to keep paint on. does any one have a suggestion? i ...

looks like a great mod. my biggest issue is the pulley system it does not let it come all the way up to the locked position. how much does this help the momentum bringing the rudders up?

so it should be stitched on one end? it currently is completely loose

its a nylon rope that i can't splice plus i don't see how that would stop it from sliding through the pocket it sits in. would stitching through it and the sail be a bad idea?

took the boat out in 30+ winds. fun day! but did some minor damage. i bent the clevis pin that attaches the stays to the mast bridle not sure if that is the right term for that piece. the clivis i had i think was too small for the task the pin is tiny compared to the hole. what is the correct sized ...

Its Uni Rig that's my issue this is my first uni rigged boat and with out a jib i i have not gotten the hang of it. i went out in the hurricane couple weeks ago and tried to turn with speed. still had issues in 28mph winds. what a crazy day had to stay close to the shore the trees did a nice job slo...

bolt rope issue
the bolt rope keeps bunching up in the sail. there is no knot on either end. i put an overhand knot in it but it had bad effects. can anyone advise me how to handle this issue.is there a way to terminate the bolt rope at the top and bottom of the sail?

never though about the weight i will have to try that this weekend. and i usually try to come about fast so it make sense why its killing my speed. thanks for the advice ill let you know the result.
