Re: Small dent in mast of new to me 17
Update on the bent mast. We just had a ef2 tornado go through our sailing club in Mississippi just south of Memphis TN. Damage ranges from almost none to total losses. There was 3 or 4 piles of boats each with 6-8 boats in them. My SC17 was flipped on it’s side and the upper third of the mast was un...

To was able to put together a factory kit for me for future use. I'll defer the new tramp as long as I don't fall through!

I need a measurement
If anyone has immediate acces to their mast.... I need to know the depth of the mast track from the aft edge to the inside Also, how wide is the slot at the very bottom corner? In other words, the full depth and width of the slot at the bottom corner. I want to put in a small sheave for a halyard tu...

Re: Question for Tom or Matt
I hope you find a new vendor. I bet the demand for aluminum masts goes up some as our boats get older and used spares become even more scarce.

First time out with new to me 17
Had a nice sail today on my 17 I got last fall. It sailed just like a Supercat....fast and wet! I had a little trouble raising the main because I didn’t follow the manual instructions. And while trying to replace the rope portion of the jib halyard it got away so we had to tip it on the beach. And t...

SC15 sail number 629
I’m trying to find the whereabouts of 629. I sold it to a Dr. Derry Hubbard from Opp, Alabama in 1993.
Anyone seen it?

Re: Tramp track for forward beam ona 17
I saw something similar on west marine and thought it might work. Which one did you use that was not sturdy enough? Tom said they don’t have anymore I think.

Tramp track for forward beam ona 17
I want to update my tramp to a NON wrap-around style. I don’t think the track is available any longer. Does anyone have pictures of the piece? Possibly one available that no longer being used? Or other ideas?

Re: Supercat 15 and why did I ever sell it
I did get the SC 17 several weeks ago and have not yet had time to even touch it. I’m in the process of putting my Brand N boat back together after an unfortunate lawnmower accident required major repairs. After it’s all squared away I will spend some time with the SC. However, if there’s any intere...

Re: Small dent in mast of new to me 17
Thank Mac, I'm sure there a a lot of old boats with the same or worse issues, but you know how it is when something is new.
I'm gonna get a good measurement of the bend and then just check it from time to time. I bet it's fine for a long time.

Small dent in mast of new to me 17
Left side of mast, about 12 feet above the base, in the middle of the flat surface. I have a shallow dent. It's hard to get a diameter because it's shallow and there's not a clear center of the dent. It's probably two to three inches in diameter and 1/16 deep at the most. Very smooth. The mast also ...
