Is anyone entering?
I'll be entering as maiden voyage for my SC15 #1588 w/ spin. Spin puts me in a different class but that is OK, I need the practice. Looks like 15 mph ese all day, perfect!

Re: Spin vs Jib
I have had a few spin rigged cats.... On the ARC 21 I had two spins, one larger for downwind and one Tornado reaching spin..
The spin for the SC15 has no identifying marks on it so I can't tell you.... It came with the cat and the pole was designed and installed by the factory...

Re: Spin vs Jib
smaller spins are designed to allow you to get lift in the bows downwind but also reach in light to moderate conditions.. Larger spins are only useful on downwind angles as they get over powered as you head up.

Re: A Common Problem with the Latest State of the Art Boats
Foiling cats are a rich mans game anyway.. we are not going to grow the sport on their backs but they add alot of excitement and interest. My young adult kids cant afford to move out of the house,,, much less buy a foiling cat. or any cat for that matter. us grey hairs need to get back into sailing ...

Re: A Common Problem with the Latest State of the Art Boats
seems to me that if you are drag racing or running around the cans they are faster due to reduced friction/drag. Beach finishes and starts in surf seem to be a problem because of the amount of unprotected $$$ below the bows.
