Re: It's almost embarrassing to ask this question...

Re: It's almost embarrassing to ask this question...

This method requires a quick release pin, on lanyard, on at least one of your tiller crossbar to tiller connections. Swim around aft and position yourself in the corner of the hull and crossbeam. Disconnect one end of the crossbar and toss it well forward. With a hand on top of the crossbeam and a h...

Re: Raising the sail

I had the same problem on my SC15. I had the original 3 braid halyard that ran up the track and back down. I traded that out for a factory Aussie ring and masthead hook rig from Tom. I also had a pinch in the track from the previous owner's dropping of the mast. I banged that out with some wooden we...

Re: stepping the SC17 Mast discussions

I feel your pain. I never managed to document my mast raising rig. I tensioned my trap wires to the front crossbar of the trailer with ratchet straps. I could control the sway easily from the front of the boat. I cranked up the mast using the recovery winch on the trailer. I built a telescoping mast...

Re: Sc20 Telescoping trailer

Can you post the manual? That looks like a rope winch on the mast support. Could the fitting below the mast yoke be for a snatch block to turn the rope from the winch towards the head stay or masthead? I hoisted a mast length bridal to my masthead with the main halyard and attached it to my recovery...

I made a similar rig for my SC15. What questions do you have?
I can only view the first picture.

Which one did you get? The manual is an ok start. Read every post on this forum. Congratulations on the 17.

Link for Blood Red trap harness

[urlhttps://www.bloodredclothing.com/product/integra-dinghy-sailing-trapeze-harness/[/url] No affiliation. I had contacted these folks back in 2020 about a harness. Lock down hit and they went silent. I have since sold my 15 and haven't been pursuing gear. They just contacted me to say that they had...

Re: SC20 beam retention bolt-holes stripped

I think the back up plates are aluminum. I would call Tom at Aquarius on this one. He has always been most helpful when I had a question.

I have camped at Kimbal Point and sailed the lake. It's a nice body of water.

Re: SC20 Torqeedo ?

That's a 1003 in the picture of that Arc. I think it would get you up and down a creek no problem. If you're on open water and there's wind, sail. If you're becalmed a 1003 would get you home. Your other solution is that little Honda 4 stroke 2.5 hp for its equivalent.
