Re: SC 20 restore part 2
Very impressive restoration. I am thinking of adding the hydro-turf to the hulls of my SC20. Did you purchase the material with the 3M adhesive pre-installed, or did you glue it with another product? The website states the 3M adhesive "not for curved surfaces". Thanks.

Re: Kerr Lake NC
I just returned from Kerr Lake, lake level is very high (306'). Not sure of the elevation of your campsight, but I expect many low-level sites will be underwater (at Hibernia, Henderson pt). Might want to call to ensure sites are dry. I hope to have my '17 out (first time in 10 years). I am across t...

SC 20 - sailing without jib
Looking for feedback on the performance of a SC20 without a jib. I have a SC20 and will likely do most of my sailing solo. I am trying to decide if the self-tacking jib is worth the $$$, or if I can get by without a jib. Being a solo sailor I won't need the added power of the jib (and it would make ...

Re: into the mist...........
Havliii, After many years away from sailing (due to having kids) I'm about to make a return... I have both a SC17 and SC20. We are due to complete construction on a house on Kerr lake in late November (just below Henderson point). Hopefully we can meet up on the lake in the spring. I just bought the...

Telescoping Trailer ideas
Looking for unique ideas regarding telescoping trailers (for a fixed beam SC20). Years ago I built a telescoping trailer for a SC20 by using 3" and 2.5" pipe from Home Depot, however as the pipe was round it was difficult to keep the cradles in the correct position when loadind/unloading t...

Re: Mast base SC20
Thanks for the reply, description of "fixed" mast base seems logical.... Looking forward to getting the SC20 on the water.

Mast base SC20
I am a new member to the forum, yet a SC owner for 20+ years..... I just obtained a '85 SC20 and have a question regarding the mast base/foot. This is the 2nd SC20 I've owned and the mast base/foot is different than my prior SC20. My new boat has the fixed beam and the mast base/foot is the same des...
