Re: Righting a SC15, Parts, and Repairing

OK Gang, Double click left on the picture and the picture will fill the screen and rotate 90 degrees. Now you can see how things work and read the words on the picture. When a boat, SC 17 for example, first turns over and has spun around, if necessary, with mast is pointing into the wind, the boat ...

Re: Main Sheet/traveler Cleat Issues

Thanks for the recommendation! I will have to try that this summer! I can’t wait for everything to warm up and for the water to go down so I can get back out!

Main Sheet/traveler Cleat Issues

Anyone else have issues with the main sheet or the traveler line getting stuck in the cleat when you’re out on the trapeze? I always seem to have issues with it getting stuck and I have flipped once and multiple close calls because of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the recommendations guys I will have to try it next summer! Ice is great near lake city and have had ice boats out there the past 2-3 weekends, by Frontenac (where we are) it is not very good though.

Re: Raising the mast

Yeah we kept the mast straight and had the levers open. How we had the 4 people set up was one on the mast, one on the starboard trap wire pulling, and 2 on the port trap wire.

Raising the mast

I am new to owning a sailboat and I just got a new-to-me 1985 SC 15 and I tried raising the mast up and I couldn’t do it so I got someone else to help me and we still couldn’t get it up! So the next day we got 2 other people to help but even with a team of 4 raising this mast it was extremely diffic...
