Re: SuperCat 19 Resurrection
Wow, I'm so glad the bulkheads in the hull are solid. And since I'm sanding the gel coat down, reinforcing the seams with fiberglass tape seems to be a good option. Thank you guys so much for the info. I need to figure out how to register it Alabama without an ID plate.

Re: SuperCat 19 Resurrection
This was what I found. 1/4" plywood (non treated) and window trim used as backing to screw the fiberglass back into shape.

Re: SuperCat 19 Resurrection
That's definitely a cheaper route, Ive been slightly worried about the added weight to the hull even if it is just foam. I really need to schedule a time to contact Tom and pick his brain for a bit. And yes my wife is not very happy with this purchase. It went from I only need to touch up a couple o...

Re: SuperCat 19 Resurrection
Finished cutting out the rot from the port hull. The stuff that was rolling around inside the hull was tree bark from a pine (I don't even know). I'm planning on making bulkheads out of foam insulation board where the hole is, glassing tabs to the inside of the hull, pouring expanding foam into the ...

Re: SuperCat 19 Resurrection
And I'm not too sure about what's been done to the pontoons or anything for that matter. The guy selling it was very vague on everything. All he really told me was he used it for parts. He had it listed as a 20, but the little I knew about the boats I knew it was a 19 or 17. And hopefully I can get ...

SuperCat 19 Resurrection
Found a SuperCat 19 bleached by the sun and used for spare parts. 20210718_171420.jpg 1800 miles later me and my two boys backed her into the driveway safe and finally ready for her refit. The trampoline is in decent shape (2 cigarette burns 😥). The trailer coupler was rusted so bad I couldn't get a...
