Gahamby, thanks for the information and link to the prior discussion. Sounds like the 1003 would be underpowered, the jump to a 6hp is gonna be significantly more $$$. I was hoping that a 3hp would be sufficient. Thanks again.

SC20 Torqeedo ?

I am in need of a small outboard to manage a narrow creek (1/2 mile) on a SC20. I am considering a Torqeedo, does anyone have any experience and recommendation regarding needed HP? Thanks

SC20 beam retention bolt-holes stripped

I am refurbishing a '86 SC20 and realized one of the beam retention bolt holes in the hull is stripped. Is this a common problem? If so, is there a simple solution? Unsure if the threads in the hulls are aluminum, epoxy or other material. I see my options as drill/tap a larger bolt thread, fill hole...
