Flipping
Looking for some opinions. I have only flipped my SC-20 twice. When it seems that when I am on the verge of going over I simultaneously dump the traveler or mainsheet and turn into the wind. If I am too close I end up going over. It seems with the turn into the wind it accelerates the boat going ove...

Foot Strap Installation
I would like to put a couple of foot straps on the sides of each hull. I am pretty sure that it would be mounted over a foam cored portion of the hull. I am thinking the best way to do this to grind a 2 inch diameter circle through the outer layer of glass and through the foam core without damaging ...

I think I am going to put an access port on each transom between the rudder gudgeons. This will allow access to the inside to lay a little more fiberglass in there. Since the fiberglass is so thin where it would be installed I don't think it would cause a loss of strength. It would also be good for ...

Matt, I did flip my SC20 in >15 knot winds one time and with the upper shroud extended and the wind helping blow us over it did take a good effort with three of us (about 480#'s) to get the boat back up. We had the sheets released and I am pretty sure that the mast did not leak. The three of us were...

Thanks Matt. I have thought about that also. Would you recommend doing that instead of putting a track system down? What kind of range would you make these points? Is this an adjustment you make once and leave it there for sailing different points? I am still doing fiberglass work on my hulls and it...

Jib Block Tracks??
I have a SC20 and am thinking about putting some kind of track system on each hull so I can move the jib blocks fore and aft.
Has anyone else done something like this?

Re: tele to fixed beam conversion
Can't help you with the conversion but thought I would show you my cracks. You think yours are bad.
They went 2/3rds the way around. I think I got all the use out of them I could.
