A guy has a SC19XL on TheBeachCats.com but he states its an 1983 XL and i remember you saying somewhere that they weren't made till the 90's!!!! i'm still waiting to hear back from the guy!!!

i am looking for any hidden differences.. i know that the XL is 6" wider and 4' tall but is there structural differences in the hulls... in other words can i slap a set of wider beams on my standard 19 with out worry of the extra leverage? Also my 19 is very powerfull almost overpowered, is the...

Only problem with the "tent" idea is, any weight on the tarp could bend the mast.....

First off... Welcome aboard!!! So to answer your questions as best I can.... Most SC came with shroud extenders, hayfield levers that when you were flipped and pulled a quick pin on the upper lever would in sense lengthen your shroud so that that the hull would tip so that the upper hull was already...

Since i was the guy who usually helped put Dan's old SC20 together i can tell you that both the front beam and rear beam used the buttons... the front beam had the buttons under the self tacking jib track.... the line in the front was not adjustable... you just hooked the line up there first then ho...

well a friend of mine has an Acat and he showed me alittle trick.... if you have a mast rotator then rotate the mast fully to 90 degrees... this way the broad side of the mast is front to back not side to side.... the boat is less likely to flip sideways.....

thanks matt.... would never had figured that that page was avalable.... but when it states that "supercat class rules state that in open class racing the number of persons on board may be increased or decreased" if my min weight isn't reached should i take the underweight penalty? i weight...
