That all depends how you look at it. I almost ruined a sail one time when the boat(flipped over) was drifting towards a dock. I would rather spend $200 for the piece of mind, knowing I can get it back up.

There was no offense taken and I don't think there's a need to apologize for expressing your opinion. I admire your knowledge of the facts and admit my naive attempt to defend Team USA at a challenging time for them.

I understand and agree with that, but what I was saying is that they got used to one set up and then had to learn how to sail without it as the races were taking place
