SailingNC, I think there's is going to be 17 come for sale on the beachcats.com website soon. A guy bought one a few months ago and it's not working out for him.

Were Supercats ever sold or built under the name Matrix Marine? I think somebody told me this many years ago and I was just wondering about it.

Seems like a lot of work for 1400. If you could get it cheaper and don't mind doing some work it might be ok

Well I fly for free, but it still takes up time. I'm pretty sure the guy is ok and I'm asking for more pics. If I figure in the cost of the known parts it's hard to go wrong. Trailer, beach wheels, furler, blocks, extra sails and rudders. That stuff adds up fast and should all be in good working ord...

I'm considering picking up a 17 (1989) but it's about 500 miles away. I can fly down (no cost other than car rental and hotel one night) and then go get it on another trip if it works out, but I'm thinking about just driving down without inspecting it first. I think I could see the dagger board slot too but it's very vague. I guess that early of a 19 without spreaders might not be the best boat out there.

That's what I thought too, but a closer look clearly shows -19 decals. They don't appear to be factory decals but it's really odd someone would put them on a 17.

in 92 i got mine for 1800 with a trailer. i think i sold it for about the same.
