Some Correspondence Between Bill and I
A few months ago I was communicating with Bill regarding trying to tune my boat. I thought some of you might find these emails interesting and learn something from them. I hate to see corporate knowledge not shared. I have some other ideas on how to get maximum lift from my sails and will try them i...

Re: What one book?
You are 100% right. I have never been able to digest all of the information. I learned a huge amount from the book though and I occasionally pull it out and read it. He was one hell of a smart guy.
I am reading the book Bill recommended and it's good too.

Re: Upper wind limit for S20
I wouldn't change out a mast. If needed (and probably not) just use a smaller sail. The SC20 33' mast is designed to have enough volume to keep the boat from going upside down.

Re: Upper wind limit for S20
If you have a TR you can put a standard rig 20 sail up instead. I have one if you need one.

Re: Upper wind limit for S20
Can't remember if you have a TR or standard rig. From what I understand the standard rig is best in about 15 knots. The TR is for lighter winds.
I take my standard rig SC20 out in 10 to 25 knots winds and have a blast. You need to be trapping above 15. I think 10 you can hike and be ok.

Re: Another Righting Thread!
I just saw these on Ebay. They are 5' parachutes that look like they can be used as sea anchors. Dirt cheap.
