Re: mainsail feeder
Thanks for the reply,I'll look into it. On a different subject: Are copper rivets stock on the clew board? There was quite a bit of corrosion on mine that had to be scrubbed off.

raising the main is a bitch on this SC15
I straightened the slot on the mast and spliced in a new halyard but it's still a fight. Would a direct wire to line splice be better? What brand of sail feeder should I install,if any? Is there a lube or wax that will help that wont crap out the sail? I am open to all suggestions. Thanks GH.

Squeezed mast track SC15
There is a narrow spot in my mast track that makes raising the sail very difficult. Is there a prescribed method for opening the gap?

1-1/2" Uni strut sleeves into 2" square tubing nicely. Is that size strong enough? GH

Re: Tape covered battens SC15 main????
That was the biggest pain in the a$$ of the whole refit. All day, half a dozen Scotch Bright pads, and 1/2 gallon of lacquer thinner. The battens underneath were perfect. A couple of the ends came off but they glued back on easy enough. I can't figure why someone would do that. The tape wad was the ...

SC 15 trapeze rigging
I have sought but have not found. Could someone please post a pic or diagram of the shock cord reeving. I imagine the shock cord threads under the tramp through the grommets on the tramp. Do the pad eyes amidships on either hull play a part? Thanks GH

attaching a mast step SC15
What is the preferred method for attaching a new mast step on an SC 15? Drill and tap, what size fasteners? Bedding compound, what type? The cross beam and inner sleeve have been re welded so there are no holes at present.

Re: Removing cross beam bolts.
Yep, it's a 3/8ths hole alright, it won't quite take a 3/8ths extension. The bolts on my 15 were real stubborn. A 1/2 ratchet was the ticket. What is the torque spec for that bolt, besides tight but don't strip it out.

Re: Tape covered battens SC15 main????
Matt, thanks for the reply. These are the tapered tube battens. The tape job is very nice, but it's tape. Sooner or later I am going to get black residue leaching through what is otherwise a new condition 1982 sail. Unless somebody chimes in to say otherwise, I think I'll strip it off and wipe down ...
