Re: Steeplechase 2013
I don't know but from where I sit (Hawaii), most people don't even know Supercat turned into ARC or that they are still in business. Maybe if there was a little more advertising in Catamaran Sailor or something it might sell a few more. Is Tom interested in making the business bigger? Rich, What are...

Re: Outboard Motor Mount
Well I did paddle for 8 miles between Oahu and Molokai one night when the winds died. Would have been nice to have had a engine at the time.
I was looking at the Torqeedo website but couldn't find the engine that Matt shows in the picture. What ball park price do they go for?

Re: Outboard Motor Mount
Dang Matt…... you guys make the nicest looking things! Here are some pictures of what we have been supplying recently. These mounts are on the 22 and would work great on a 20 also. They are designed to be used with the Torqueedo electric motor, they do not raise and lower as it is not necessary with...

Re: Steeplechase 2013
Bill, I understand time is of essence when racing. However I would have thought that it would be quicker to pull out a sea anchor, attach it, right it and then retrieve the sea anchor rather than having to climb up, release the extender, throw the rope over, right it, then reconfiguring the stay ext...

Re: Steeplechase 2013
Bill,
I am wondering why they did n't use your technique(sea anchor, stepping on the mainsheet) of righting the boat?

Re: SC 20 restore part 2
Mac, It's not that hard. I wrote this in my post: "After getting that finished I put a 1/4" by 1/2" piece of aluminum bar inside of the rear beam and drilled holes to mount the solid traveler track. I used a transfer punch to locate the holes exactly, drilled through with the correct ...

Nice pics. I see you used better eyestraps than I did. Mine tend to cut the laces occasionally.

Bill that's pretty cool. I would love to see your boat race. Maybe I can hitch a ride sometime in the future. My folks just moved to Naples. How far are you from there?

Re: SC 20 restore part 2
I've been told it was mainly done because the original SC20's had plywood forward bulkheads. The plywood would eventually rot. At some point they put a fiberglass bulkhead in instead.
