Re: Speed...want more speed

Matt... Thanks for the reply. I have heard the same as well. I might be at a weight disadvantage too. I sail alot 2 up and at about 235 total for the both of us. I do know exactly where you are referring to as the "sweet spot" when you get that bow down. Getting the transoms out of the wat...

Re: Can you sail dead downwind faster than the wind?

Well on my second sail of this season I did this. It was blowing 15mph and the GPS was showing 18mph. If any of those guys had just a few lessons in flight they would not have even brought up an airplane. If you want more proof go to UTube and search AC45 they are sailing 2x the speed of the steady ...

Re: SuperCat 15 with a new home

I was talking about the double stack rig for your trailer! we need to see that with the 15 and 14 on it! Did you install the SC righting system with the Hayfield levers?? If not, how hard was it to right the boat when you flipped it?? Oh....that double stack....that one is being worked on. Yes the ...

Re: SuperCat 15 with a new home

They say all good things must come to an end. It was a good shake down sail for both skipper, crew and boat. Ended with a down wind run all the way to the pier. :)

Re: SuperCat 15 with a new home

Dan it might look as though there are alot of tell tale windows. Actually there are only a few. What happened is when ever the sail was used last it was wet. The windows mildewed the the sail in thier pattern after it was rolled up. I have tried to remove them and they look better now. I wanted to p...

Re: Supercat 15 Refurb

Dan... Hey sounds good. I can make the riggigng but do not have the specs for any of it. If you still have those and would not mind passing those along, that would be great and I can get to work on those this winter and be able to rig up in March. I will be doing the side stay release system as well...
