Matt - I recall 1979 on July 4th the rep for FMS came through Dallas during the Borg/McEnroe match. After three phone calls to me I left the Tv and went sailing on Hull #1 I believe. The next summer I drove to Jupiter and paid $9000 for my first 1980 FMS 20 that had been stickered as a Boston Whaler...

I finally got my 20 back yesterday. I was told the sidestay backing plates were missing. It was in someone else's hand for 2yr 3 months. I was wondering if these plates were straight pieces with holes drilled or copies of the outside pieces that fit all the bolts pattern in one piece??? Also I have ...

He hit the stay and nearly severed his ear off. I wrapped his head with a shirt and took him to the local er. They sewed i...

Been promoted/no Tampa. I didn't ask for the upgrade but the $$$ are worth it. I recall 30 years ago [1974] on a close reach with two other Tornados...all three cartwheeled in SF Bay. No videos then but I still remember the water being cold...pkus the two broken fingers( ;<{=== Is there an RTI this ...

Pin Head vs Square top
What is the performance/rating difference between the two main sail designs on an FMS/SC20? I'm ordering sails this year and am wondering which turns out better considering the differences. Also has anyone looked at Dimension Polyant D4. There is a Pentex version now. Last question: Will the ARC22 s...

Har418 trigger cleat is used on mainsheet systems [usually above 8:1] to release the line without moving the sheet out of the cleat. Some of the fboat guys use them including me. Basically you pull the sheet to either side and the claws release and allow you to ease a small amount without taking the...
