Thanks Matt,
When I searched "Rudder rigging" the search engine rejected it. A picture from astern would be most helpful.
Here are shots of my port rudder.

Proper reeving of rudder lines?
I've searched but have not found a pic of a properly rigged rudder. Could someone direct me to the right link or post a pic please. Thanks GH

Re: Crickets
I can bring it all the way to the windward stop if I choose. It works well for pinching in a tight ramp basin.

Re: Crickets
Mac, That's a Harken Windward Sheeting Car. The old traveler car was giving it up. This item popped up on Craig's list for less than the replacement cost of what I had. The end control blocks much the same. The end control blocks are a bit of overkill but the price was right. It works great. I didn't...

Cat in the weeds King George, VA.
It was the classic $500 weed cat. Who snagged it?

She's beautiful! Way to go. All she needs now is a little green slime ramp rash.

Tell me more of this "electric wench". Is she comely? Does she have a fine ankle? Which part is electric?

Re: Rudder pivot bolt
I found myself with jammed rudder kick ups when I had the boat in the ocean at Kitty Hawk. There was a fine, silky green seaweed in the water that clogged up the rudders causing them to only kick up partway. The waves were small so beaching was no problem. I had to unship the rudders and take them u...

Re: A Common Problem with the Latest State of the Art Boats
Bill, Let me preface this post by stating that I love my '84 SC15. Your hull design is brilliant and timeless. I can't imagine owning another brand of cat. "Why don't they sell?" In automotive terms, Aquarius is Lotus, Hobie is Toyota. Hobie stole the march on mass marketing back in the '7...

Looks like great stuff. I read the PDF. I couldn't find a vendor. Is this a serious industrial product?

Re: Sloppy tiller crossbar connection
Thanks for the offer. I just tied her down two hours away at Lewisetta, VA. I'll measure my spare pins but I think the slop is in the old castings on the boat. I'll try to remember the calipers next trip. This could be a good excuse for local pickup.

Re: Sloppy tiller crossbar connection
I imagine I would have to find the next size plastic rod up from 1/2" and reduce it. I am using Aquarius plastic pins. Now I have to go out and buy a lathe, dang!

Re: BW 17 Supercat
I recently purchased a 1982 Boston Whaler 17 Supercat. It has spidering in the fiberglass at the transom and the gel coat has flaked a little at the seam. Your renovation and pictures are a great help. How hard is it to do another layer of gel coat? I have been building up my starboard rudder head ...

Re: Sloppy tiller crossbar connection
I looked at this, I would hate to loose any metal on the gudgeons The slop is about .012". It's like one neat wrap of electrical tape on the pins.
