Re: Supercat in Hawaii??

I did see that SC15. Would be nice if I had the time and place to keep it but I have my hands full.

Keep me in mind if you come back.

Re: Supercat in Hawaii??

No, that was not mine. I only found out about that one last year, I thought mine was the only one left on the island. I guess the owner was on the mainland and had a friend come down and clean it up a little and take it sailing. I had never seen it prior to that but I guess it had been moored for ye...

Re: Supercat 20 with Hooter!!

Eric, I am converting mine to solid beams and will eventually post pics of the process. I see you're in CA. I bought 4"x 1/8"x 12' aluminum beams in LA at Industrial Metal Supply for $73/ piece. I then had them anodized at: Sta-Brite Anodizing 1237 E Florence Ave Los Angeles, CA 90001 (323...

Re: Supercat 20 with Hooter!!

Looks like the Chesapeake.

I notice you have solid beams. Can you take a picture of how your trampoline attaches to the beams? Looks like you have a self-tacking jib too. How did you rig your jib sheet?

I am converting mine over.

Re: Sailing Trip To Molokai

Thanks for the nice comments Eric. Hawaii is a great place to sail. As Matt said, as far as I know this is the original mast rotating system. You can adjust the line to allow more or less rotation. I was just visiting Tom Haberman yesterday buying new ARC22 parts to modernize my entire rig. I am ins...

Sailing Trip To Molokai

Thought I would share some photo's from a sailing/camping trip we did from Oahu over to the island of Molokai last Memorial weekend. It should have taken about 4 to 5 hours to go the 30 miles from Waimanalo Beach to Molokai. It ended up taking 20. I sailed the boat down to Waimanalo on Saturday and ...

Re: Rudder hardware

Mark,

I posted a couple of pictures of rudder rigging under the post "Rudder Rigging". I think you will get the idea of how to correctly rig the rudders from that post.

Re: Reinforcing Transoms 80' Supercat 20

Hey George, I am not entirely sure I understand what you want to do, but I think I do. If the fallen nuts are on the bottom gudgeon I would not do what you pan to do. One hit on a hard object and the gudgeon is liable to pop off. On the other hand if it is on the top, I think there would be a higher...
