Re: SC20 Torqeedo ?

I had a torqueedo 1003 long shaft on my 15. It worked fine. It might struggle to push you dead to windward in a stiff breeze.

Re: 19 wire traveler conversion

My 15 had a 22mm Harken track installed across the rear crossbeam. The tramp was held with a bolt rope track across the rear beam. The track was held down with flat head machine screws that were tapped into the crossbar. There was no bedding compound between the track and crossbar. There was no anti...

That's some major surgery!
"The stuff that was rolling around inside the hull was tree bark from a pine"
Maybe a pine tree fell on it. Or it hit a pine tree.

Re: SuperCat 19 Resurrection

I learned to water ski on Lake Martin. Your cat has dagger boards, she's a 19. Those are hulls, not pontoons. Keep us posted on the restoration. Could you post a close up of the main sail feeder on the mast. I have the same style mast and feeding in the sail is a pain. Thanks GH

Re: SuperCat 19 Resurrection

Do you know what formula of paint is on the hulls? That cracked mast step looks like the result of mast rotation or sway not being controlled during raising or lowering. Good luck with the re-fit. Where will you sail her?

Is that the one from SE Virginia? It was on the Norfolk CL and I linked the ad to the For Sale page here.

Pull the blue line, the rudder goes in. Pull the red line the rudder comes out.

With this rig it's one line pull down, one line pull up.

Re: Downhaul Rigging

When I got the new square top main, Tom sent me the drawings I needed to rig the regulation downhaul. Mine is a little less involved than yours. I posted a picture here on the forum.

Re: New SC17 owner

My roller furler has a short pigtail that goes between the the swivel and the mast hound. I rig a 6:1 main sheet. No reason not to re-use the blocks if they give you the proper advantage.

Re: Rolling and storing a sail.

The main is a square weave dacron.I pull the jack batten out and store it in the second pocket. The jib rolls up on the furler. I coil it loosely
