Does anyone use those mountable video cameras?
I was thinking of maybe putting one up in my rigging looking down on the tramp. Anyone have experience with them?

I had a broken SC20 hull which I cut up to send to the dump. I took some pictures of the forward bulkhead where the bridal tang is attached. It looks to be about a 1/2 inch solid fiberglass board cut to fit which the tang is bolted too. I think the original was wood which would eventually rot and ha...

Rudder Rigging
I went sailing on George's boat a few weeks ago and noticed that his rudders were rigged differently than mine. I have 2 sets of rudders and they were both rigged the same.
Which one is correct?

Yes, if you removed it there would be long hole along the top between the forward and rear beam. The deck plate is solid fiberglass and the surrounding hull is solid fiberglass also. There probably is a 1 inch overlap and it is glued on. In your case I would probably bevel the area and then just lay...

Damn, I could have used a new sail and spinnaker. :D I guess you are lucky. Too bad, I might be in Annapolis June 5th through the 10th and was thinking about seeing if you were available for a sail. You should post pictures of your damage. The hull around the transom seemed pretty strong to me but y...

Well today I pitch-poled a SC-20. I just got through telling my crew that we needed to keep the bows low because that is where they belong. We hadn't had a problem with the leeward digging in because it would always come right back up. I guess we ran into a problem when both submerged. The r...

That sounds right to me, or it least that is the way mine is rigged. I have small blocks on the end of my barber hauler lines instead of rings for one of the jib sheets to go in. So the jib sheet looks like a triangle from the jib block (on the hull) to the jib clew to the barber hauler ring/block a...

Here is a photo while sailing one time. Hope you can tell how it is rigged. I use a pushpin which goes through the mainsheet block swivel, through the boom hole, and through the clue plate, back through the other side of the boom hole and then the swivel again. If I ordered a new main from you, woul...

SC-20 Boom Clue End Piece - Outhaul
The part that attaches to the end of my boom which you stick the metal clew of the sail in has broken again. One of the tongs cracked off. According to the previous owner it had broken twice prior. Originally he was hooking it up wrong by using one hole to pin the sail and another hole to pin the ma...

Barber Hauler
Can someone give a dissertation on the correct use of the barber hauler?
Talking to a Hobie friend he says that he has his outboard when the winds are strong or light (I guess that means his is in when the winds are moderate).
