The correct solution is to turn the 4.5 ins end cap down to fit the 4 ins beam. The angle machined into the rear beam cap is for the shallow traveller cable. The angle machined into a front beam end cap is for the steeper angle front cable, dolphin stricker, cable. If the angled surface machined into end cap is not perpendicular to the cable, then the load goes to one point on the recessed surface and this could crack the end cap at the recessed area. This is what is called a stress concentration, all the load going to one point. Please fix it correctly.
