Sc15 hull repair

I have an early SuperCat 15 "Hilfy" that was given to me in 2016 by a member of this forum, Laz. I spent that winter reglassing the bottom of the port hull, and adding some stringers inside where it was starting to wrinkle just forward of the main beam. 2017 saw great sailing here at the head of the Chesapeake. Last week she was hit by a J24 trailer while parked at the marina. There is a crack on the centerline of the starboard hull extending forward from the bridle attachment plate, around the bow and under the boat about a foot past the bridle plate. Today I launched her, and she is taking on water through this crack.

I am hoping somebody here can help me with some information, because this is a much higher load area than the bottom of the hull where I fixed a split seam on the other hull. How is the hull joint constructed at the bow? How far back from the bow is the forward bulkhead, so I can find the best spot to drill for an access port?

Alternately, does anyone know where I could find another hull, or a parts boat for sale on the east coast?
I have found a lot of useful information on here since I have been working on this boat, and I am hoping someone can help so I am not going into this completely blind.

Thanks!

Sorry to hear of your misfortune. Matt or Tom are your sources for construction details. They might have a hull or a line on one. I have not seen an SC15 partout on the market. Post some pictures. Nothing brings out the replies like some pictures of fiberglass carnage. GH

That picture is painful to look at, the color scheme even matches mine perfectly. Mine dosent lend itself to pictures so well, it is just a hairline crack on the seam, but even towing her 500 feet to launch and see if she leaked spread the crack another 6 inches. I have been waiting to see if the guy that hit me would admit it, but even after I had the marina call him he denys it. I will be cutting an access hole this week to start glassing from the inside, I think a few layers of 8oz cloth will take care of it. I am also thinking of adding a stainless strip around the bow and down the keel while I am at it, I have put a few dings in her from beaching on the islands around here.

Hold tight on trying to repair that from the inside. There is a flange inside the bow that I think is going to make that repair difficult.
I would really give Tom a call and he can give you the best advice on how to fix that...

I tried to buy that boat, but missed it-- I have a replacement hull down in Norfolk, VA! I think it even has the same stripes on it.

I would love to get it out of the yard..
