Strong Bows VS Weak Bows

Hi Folks,
I can't resist comparing these two pictures.
A picture is worth a thousand words.

Ahhh, those were the days... I started on a Hobie 14 in 1978 and moved up to a Hobie 16, which I sailed the heck out of. After it sent my crew to the emergency room with cracked ribs things were a little less fun. Then here in Minnesota, a bunch of folks started buying these "Supercats" from Tom Haberman. Since they were all better sailors than me, I got one too, and it's been a dream boat.

It's funny how some scary things will imprint into your brain. I have not had a Hobie since 1988 and yet I still get a little twitchy when my SC 17 bows go deep into the water...

Thanks, Bill - for a great sailboat!
