ARC/RC/SC Nationals?

Post by TonyD »

I have just recently gone into a partnership on a RC-27 and new to this forum. Is there currently a "Nationals" for ARCs/RCs/SCs? If not, is there any interest in having a Nationals? I don't know if there's a location where there's a majority of ARCs, RCs, or SCs, but I know of 2 RC-27s at the Rudder Club in Jacksonville, FL. Possibly have a "Nationals" right after the Mug Race in May? I'm certainly open to any location in the Southeast region.

Thoughts?

Parntered on RC-27

I went into a partnership on the RC-27 "Daddio". I'm fairly new to sailing here in Jax. We're located on the St. John's river which is very wide. Certainly not the beautiful water of the west coast of Florida (I'm originally from Sarasota, FL and use to sail on a friend's Stiletto there every week), but the Rudder Club is very cat friendly and has a nice setup. I'm still trying to find out what cat friendly regattas there are here. There's another RC-27, "Calculated Risk" (I believe that's the correct name), also located at the Rudder Club. I'm hoping the owners will be interested in mixing it up on the river now and then. They won the Mug Race last May.

Nice boat!

Daddio is a nice boat! A friend of mine considered briefly buying it this spring but Rob wouldn't reduce his price enough! :-)

Cheers from Switzerland,
