Well guys another day on the water today in FWB....Two SC 22s on the water . Jim Moodys new boat with Brian Lambert of Worrell fame on board and I will have Carbon Copy out for some more speed runs. Winds 12-13knots out of the east and sunny. Hmmmm looks like spring is right around the corner. Just another great day in PARADISE !!!!

Dead Calm?

Post by Matt Haberman »

Not quite paradise, but the weather is getting nicer here.
A bit windy and cold today, but they are talking highs in the 50's - 60's by the end of next week.

Mike-

I flew into FWB yeaterday to take a ce class in Destin. It took 1 1/2
hours [between 11:00am to 1:30pm] to get from VPS to the Embassy
Suites. It took 1hr 40 minutes [4:30pm to 6:10pm] to get back to VPS.
When I walked into the airport they announced the flight to DFW was
boarding. I literally walked straight onto the plane and it took off
within a few minutes. The traffic on 98 is apparently all day now
judging from what a couple of locals told me at class.

I passed Leeside Park both ways with no sails or masts in sight on the
water. It seemed strange after the last three Corsair Nationals to see an
absolute empty horizon.

I guess you have to live there to really appreciate that traffic...

Almost Have Open Water

Well it is April 5th and there is still ICE, but it is getting close. I would guess the easter Bunny will need to get his boat out and put away the skates!

Hey Matt,

Here's a pic of us two weeks ago. There wasn't any ice but the water was cool -- maybe around 69-70F, but somehow we'll manage until it warms up. Should have Adrenalin out next week end.
