Did anyone else come across an AquaCat when they were (much) younger? They were popular on Long Island Sound in the 70s, and probably elsewhere. It had a foam ball at the top, which meant I could flip it anytime with no risk. It was only 6-feet wide, so it was easy to right. I went through two of them, and upgraded to my SC15 in 1994 when my my family exceeded 400 pounds aggregate weight. Who knew you could swamp a cat?
I loved that little cat as my first real sailboat. Spent long hours as a teen flitting among the Norwalk Islands (CT) until sunset (or later).
