Post by Kevin Keller »

What is the purpose of the screw on the bottom of the daggerboards?

I don't know but Daggerboard Screw sounds like a Frank Zappa tune.

Drain plug

Seriously thou, the screw was used to hang the board during painting. When the paint is cured the hole is filled with 5200 and the screw is inserted.

Thanks Matt. Would have though you’d use one of the rope holes.

I was doing some repairs and painting myself.

Use those too. Hang the board horizontal, trailing edge down.
