Not a trick question folks.ultrarunner wrote:Need exact dimensions and weight of the mast on a SC17. Lining up some shipping.

Nothing??? Is this not in a manual somewhere? Can someone at the factory at least ball park this.
I sorta need to be shipped, but the shipping company wont accept a ball-park size and dimension.
thanks.....
SC Rough weight and length...

I too have a SC 17…in my owner’s manual it says the Mast weighs approximately 55 lbs when fully rigged. It is 28’-9” long…I am assuming that it with the end castings and not just the extrusions. Hopefully Matt will follow up with exact information…this at least gets you in the ball park.
Regards,
Bob

Sorry about that... I missed your original post
The mast extrusion is 28' 9" long plus the casting. I don't have the dimensions in front of me right now, but if you give yourself another 6" you should be fine. So I guess that would give you overall length of 29' 3".
I would suggest wrapping the mast in several layers of bubble pack and then 2 layers of industrial stretch wrap over that.
