Blew off sailing for upgrades

The Aussie ring and mast hook arrived Saturday as I was leaving for work, so today was installation day. I cleaned up the mast cap and zinc chromated the inside. There was some corrosion evident inside the mast and on the inside of the cap. This was the opportunity to fix this.
After having the wire halyard pop out around the bolt rope as I was dropping the sail last week, seriously jamming the sail, I am hoping this investment will solve the issue. Now I'm looking at a heavy week of work before I can ring this out. At least I know where the money is coming from to pay for the upgrade. I'm hope that having a mainsail that hoists and strikes with ease will shorten the rig and unrig time.
