Water temp here in Galveston Bay now ranging from 49°-53° .. burrrrr!
Was wondering what foul/cold weather gear some of you "faithful" Supercaters wear this time of year?
I am in Patagonia gortex waders (waist/chest belt Tight so no 'flooding' if boat flips) with light weight Patagonia capilene thermals underneath and waterproof/breathable NRS top.
Wind on (through) a 'wet' wet-suit is way too cold as my own odometer now approaches 55  ...
I like DRY! :D

I am a big fan of drysuits. I have kayaked rivers with both banks frozen over and everything inside the suit was toasty (my hands and face were still very cold).

You can wear anything you want under it. If its really cold I usually wear a one piece fleece suit.

The best are made by Kokatat. They are pricy but they really work great and they are gortex so they breath really well.

There are cheaper sealed nylon ones but they get pretty clammy inside.
